Redundancy - Genuine Reason

Redundancy is defined by current legislation as a situation where:

  • The employer intends to stop carrying on the business or part of the business totally or at that workplace;
  • There is a diminished need for the number of employees carrying out work of a particular kind.

If the reason for redundancy is not covered by the above then your dismissal may be unfair.
